SERVICE PLANS

We have 3 levels of bike service plans.  The appropriate plan will depend on the frequency, duration and type of your rides. If you are unsure of the level of service your bike needs please contact us and we'll be happy to help guide you.

 

Open Sky Logo Book Basic Service Now

BASIC SERVICE from £40

​

This is a basic service and recommended for newer bikes or bikes with low use.

​

  • Brakes checked (new pads fitted if required)

  • Gears checked/re-aligned

  • Cranks checked and correctly tightened to recommended torque

  • Wheels trued

  • Tyres checked and inflated correctly (replaced if required)

  • Headset and handlebar assembly checked and correctly tightened to recommended torque

  • All bolts other bolts inspected and tighten to recommended torque

Basic Service

STANDARD SERVICE from  £80

​

This standard service is an intermediary plan for older bikes with less use or for bikes with frequent use.

​

  • Full drivetrain degrease and inspected for damage and ware 

  • Brakes serviced and inspected for pad wear (new pads fitted if required)

  • Gears checked and re-aligned

  • Cranks checked and correctly tightened to recommended torque

  • BB bearings inspected

  • Wheels trued

  • Hub bearings inspected

  • Tyres checked and inflated correctly (replaced if required)

  • Headset and handlebar assembly checked and correctly tightened to recommended torque

  • Headset bearings inspected

  • Fitting of any new parts is included in service price

 

Optional Extras

  • Hydraulic brake bleed

  • Chain optimization service LV1 £20

  • Chain optimization service LV2 £35

       (Optimization service only available if chain wear in less than 0.75)

Standard Service

ADVANCED SERVICE from £180

​

This is our advanced service which we would recommend for a high mileage bike or when you want your bike to have that new bike feeling!

​

  • Bike fully stripped down to the bare frame. Frame washed  down and checked for damage/cracks

  • Forks washed and inspected 

  • Drivetrain inspected for ware then cleaned and degreased including chain set, chain, cassette and both derailleurs

  • Chain optimization service LV1

  • Brakes inspected for pad ware and replaced if required

  • Hydraulic hoses checked and bled if required

  • Gears refitted with new cables both inner & outer*

  • Brakes refitted with new cables both inner & outer*

  • Wheels trued

  • Wheel hubs inspected and bearings, re-greased or replaced (cartridge) if worn**

  • Tyres checked and inflated correctly (replaced if required)

  • Headset removed and bearings inspected

  • Headset and handlebar assembly checked and tightened to recommended torque

  • Free 6 week or 100 mile service (whichever is soonest) to re-adjust new cables and torque settings of bolts

  • Chain optimization service LV2 £35

       (Optimization service only available if chain wear in less than 0.75)

Please note that handlebar tape may rip when removed. A Workshop handlebar tape is included in the service price. Specific tape can be supplied at an additional cost.

*   Workshop cables included. Additional cost for branded cable sets if requested.

** Not all bearings are created equal and there are many levels of bearing quality. Please ask for a quote.

CHAIN OPTIMISATION SERVICE from £20

​

Using an ultrasonic bath all of the old lube and grime is removed leaving a completely clean and dry chain.  The chain is then put into a second lubrication bath containing either Muc off hydrodynamic lube or Muc off ludicrous AF lube

Every LV2 Ludicrus AF service receives a 50ml Bottle of LF lube for £25 thats 50% off rrp!

  • Level 1 Optimisation £20

  • Level 2 Optimisation £40

       (Optimization service only available if chain wear in less than 0.75)

More chain life, less wear, meaning you replace your chain less often which is also better for the environment.
